All about the new technology introduced at our San Quirino warehouse.
During road transport and extended storage periods in the warehouse, many bulk materials tend to compact. The weight of the product itself and continuous vibrations during transit lead to the formation of internal clumps and agglomerates. When it comes time to transfer goods from Big Bags into silo vehicles, these solid blocks obstruct the discharge outlet, slowing operations down, causing constant interruptions, and risking product damage.
The Buzzatti solution at the San Quirino warehouse
To eliminate this problem at its root, we installed state-of-the-art equipment dedicated to Big Bag decompression at our San Quirino warehouse. The system applies controlled mechanical pressure to the bags, effectively breaking down agglomerates without damaging the outer container or altering the physical and chemical properties of the product. This restores the raw material to its ideal fluid consistency.
How our new machinery works
The machine operates on the principle of mechanical decompression using controlled pressure. The Big Bag is positioned inside the system, where specialized arms or rollers exert progressive, uniform pressure on the outer walls of the bag. This “massaging” action breaks up internal clumps using only calibrated compression force—without tearing or compromising the Big Bag structure, and without applying thermal or chemical stress that could alter the raw material.
The benefits for your supply chain
Thanks to this technological upgrade, transferring goods from Big Bags to bulk silo transport becomes exceptionally faster, safer, and more continuous. Restoring the material’s fluidity eliminates operational downtime during discharge, zeroes out contamination risks, and guarantees high efficiency standards for your dry bulk logistics.
